Acceptable Use Policy
The security, authorization, and conduct rules for using PreFlight.
Acceptable Use Policy
Effective: July 25, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Terms of Service. It protects PreFlight, our users, and the systems you choose to connect to the Service.
Authorized use
Use PreFlight only for a system, account, integration, or data source that you own or are authorized to access. You must keep permissions current, use the least privileged credentials practical, follow applicable law and third-party terms, and promptly revoke or rotate credentials that may be exposed.
Prohibited use
You may not use, or allow anyone else to use, PreFlight to:
- scan, probe, test, monitor, or access a system without clear authorization;
- evade authentication, access controls, rate limits, or other safeguards;
- submit credentials or data you are not allowed to disclose or process;
- interfere with the Service, its infrastructure, another user's workspace, or a third-party service;
- introduce malware, harmful code, denial-of-service activity, or automated traffic that degrades a service;
- use results to facilitate unlawful activity, harassment, fraud, or infringement of another party's rights;
- reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the Service except where that restriction is unenforceable under applicable law; or
- misrepresent PreFlight results, reports, badges, or trust pages as a guarantee of security, compliance, or availability.
Responsible monitoring
Configure checks at a frequency and scope that your connected providers permit. Do not use PreFlight as a substitute for authorization, incident response, security review, or required human oversight. You remain responsible for decisions and actions taken from Service output.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and suspend, limit, or terminate access when we reasonably believe use violates this AUP, the Terms, applicable law, or the security of the Service or others. We may cooperate with lawful requests from authorities and affected third parties where required.
Reporting concerns
If you believe a credential, workspace, or use of PreFlight presents a security concern, contact support@getpreflight.dev promptly.
